Official Contest Rules & Legal Terms

1. Contest Overview

• Eligibility: Open globally (excluding countries where prohibited). The entrants must be 14 years or older; if the entrant is a minor as per local law, parental/legal guardian consent is required.

• Entry Period: March 1 through March 15; winners will be selected and notified after  March  20.

2. How to Enter 

• Follow @taurus.mag on Instagram.

• Submit one (1) original photo per account—aligned with the Theme.

• Use #TaurusPhotoShapes in your caption.

• Mention @taurus.mag in the caption or within the description.

• Photos must be posted in public Instagram profiles to be visible for review.

• No purchase or fee is required to enter.

3. Content Guidelines — What’s Allowed & Not

• Entries may not be:

  • Sexually explicit or suggestive content.

  • Obscene, vulgar, hateful, defamatory, violent, or illegal.

  • Promotion of drugs, weapons, alcohol, or dangerous behavior.

• Boudoir or tasteful nudity is acceptable only if presented artfully—non-sexualized, respectful, contextually appropriate. All images remain subject to Taurus Magazine’s discretion and Instagram’s community standards.

• Entry must not infringe intellectual property rights or include recognizable trademarks or copyrighted material without permission.

4. Model & Location Release Responsibility

The entrant is solely responsible for securing any required model or location release forms. Taurus Magazine does not require submission of these forms but reserves the right to request evidence if needed for legal compliance. All entries must respect privacy and legal rights; participants confirm they have obtained any necessary permissions before entering.

5. Judging & Winners

We will choose three (3) winners, evaluated based on:

• Interpretation of the Theme.
• Technical quality (exposure, focus, coloration).
• Composition and visual impact.
• Creativity and technique.

Judging will be conducted anonymously by a panel of editors and photography professionals.

Winners will be announced via Instagram post and story after March  20.

7. Rights & Usage

• By entering, you grant Taurus Magazine a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, repost, and promote your image on Instagram, our website, newsletter, or print editions—with appropriate credit.

• You retain full copyright ownership of your photo.

8. Disclaimers & Liability

• Instagram is not affiliated or responsible for this contest.

• Content that does not comply with these Terms—including content removed from Instagram for policy violations—may be disqualified at Taurus Magazine’s sole discretion.

• By entering, you agree to hold Taurus Magazine harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or disclosures arising from your submitted content.

• We reserve the right to disqualify entries for any form of cheating, fraud, or rule violations.

9. Additional Legal Notes 

• Winner responsibilities: Entrants are responsible for any applicable taxes or legal liabilities tied to prize value.

• We may modify, extend, or cancel the contest at our discretion due to technical issues or unforeseen circumstances.

• If your prize value exceeds thresholds required by state or federal regulations (e.g. U.S.), Taurus Magazine may require additional documentation.
